In October, Vasco Electronics, a top European designer and manufacturer of electronic translator devices, first participated in GITEX Dubai tech show and is now preparing for Japan IT Week. This month, Vasco Translator V4 has also been honored with the Good Design Award — the oldest award program in the world, sponsored by the Japan Institute of Design Promotion and highlighting products that boast excellent design.
Vasco Electronics is no stranger to international tech shows. In addition to participating in GITEX, the company have also taken part in IFA Berlin, CES Las Vegas and MWC Barcelona.
About GITEX
GITEX is a trade show centered around electronics, computing and overall advancements in the field of modern technology. The event is held annually and hosts a number of prominent figures from the tech industry. It also welcomes some of the biggest companies in the world, with Microsoft, Red Hat and Dell included.
Like in previous years, Vasco managed to attract a variety of visitors to their booth. From media representatives to business people and casual customers, Vasco Translator was a sensation among all of them for the entire duration of the event (October 10 - October 14).
Our product was very popular among visitors, many of whom might be our potential future business partners. Most people were surprised to see as many various languages as in our translator, bearing in mind the limited number of language pairs available in most popular devices.

Lots of people returned over the next fair days, very often accompanied by their friends or relatives, whom they wanted to show the device. It was nice to see the growing interest.

Japan IT Week Autumn
Now, Vasco is to be present at Japan IT Week Autumn at the end of October (26-28). It is one of the Japan’s leading tech shows, consisting of 11 separate exhibitions, such as IoT & 5G Solutions Expo, Web & Digital Marketing Expo and Software & Apps Development Expo. The event also includes seminars on latest tech trends, talks hosted by industry experts and attractive panels, where one can meet new business partners.
For Vasco Electronics, this event is a great opportunity to raise brand awareness in the Land of the Rising Sun and beyond - strengthening its position on the Asian market. The company first appeared there in 2021 after raising 26 million JPY at the Makuake — one of the Japan’s top product launch platforms (similar to Kickstarter). They presented Vasco Translator M3, selling 970 units of this cutting-edge device.
Good Design Award
This month, Vasco Translator V4, the company’s newest product, was honored with the Good Design Award. In the verdict, the jury stated that Vasco Translator V4’s features are very well-organized, which makes the usage of the device very easy and intuitive. The product also boasts some new features, such as bigger screen, resistance to shocks, dust and water, as well as stronger loudspeakers.
Good Design Award is the oldest and one of the most important technology awards in the world. Ever since its foundation in 1957, it has been known for recognizing a multitude of products, from industrial goods to architecture and software. The jury focuses on the ways in which a design of the products they examine can make our lives easier in the increasingly complex global society.
Thus, October has made a very active campaign in the company's 2022 calendar, making it more promising and exciting to wait for 2023 and their further product expansion plans.
